This is a video [found here] that shows a typical C. elegans response to touch.  As you can see, the worm moves in a typical pattern until it receives this touch and then moves away.  Most mutants (usually specific genes altered to see different developmental effects) will show big changes in locomotion.  I’ll show videos of some of these later.  For more information on why we might study C. elegans, see my post here.
