Eppendorf’s epMotion

This video really cracks me up.  We talked about MRI, which is one of the popular “dry lab” techniques some neuroscientists use, so I reasoned out that I could show you this video about pipetting, which is a common “wet lab” technique some neuroscientists use.  Pipetting is a simple technique that most of you are probably familiar with, but it’s a way to accurately measure small amounts of liquids (less than 1 mL) and transfer them into other containers (commonly test or [micro]centrifuge tubes).  The epMotion is an automated way of doing the same thing.  I just found this video incredibly amusing (it’s a couple years old, but it came to mind during a conversation I was having with my labmates), so I wanted to share.  Scientists are fun people! ;)
